Banu (Space Manager)
Banu (25) is a space manager whose practice is predominantly based in Bandung. As a professional, Banu serves as the Space Manager at Fragment Project, a multifunctional building open for creative community activities. His responsibilities encompass daily operational tasks, administration and finance, communication strategies, and space activation.
In terms of project experience, Banu has contributed to organizing the Bandung Design Biennale, a city-scale design festival held every two years in Bandung, as a Design Forum Organizer in 2023 and served as the Secretary Director in the 2021 edition. Additionally, he also involved in ITB Light Festival 2023 as Talk Show Manager, contributing to the festival's goal in fostering dialogue within the creative community.
Currently, he is also involved in several collectives, where he serves as the Program Director for Product Design Focus and Rupa Desain. In other initiative activities, Banu is actively engaged as a Researcher in Sight At Site, reflecting his interest in examining the interactions between spaces and creative communities.
In 2023, he also actively participated in events such as the Jakarta Art Book Fair, Indonesia Contemporary Art & Design, and Bandung Design Biennale, demonstrating his engagement with the broader creative industry. In the same year, Banu has contributed to the discourse on design and creativity through publications such as Terra Incognita, Fragments in Fragment, and Bandung Design Biennale 2021 Book Report.
